Having windows XP but want the Vista look? Here is what you have to do:

NOTE: THis works on XP SP3!

0. BACKUP!!!!

1. Get windowBlinds 6 or above and install it (prefferable to full version).

2. Then download Aero Ultimate RC1 Full

3. Extract it and double click the .wba to install it in windowblinds.

4. Open up/start Windowblinds and choose the "Aero Ultimate" theme.

5. In windowblinds, go to settings>advanced settings and mark "Allow skins to use 3rd party plugins".

6. Now go inside the "Aero ultimate" folder and go inside "extra". Then choose "Favorite links kit".

7. Move the folder "findeXer" to a location where it isn't irritating you because it needs to exist all the time.

8. Run "register.bat" inside the "findeXer" folder.

9. Move "Icons for FindeXer" to the same location as "findeXer"

10. If you want, you can change the icon on the favorite links icon by right-clicking a icon and use the icons in "Icons for FindeXer"

11. right click on "findeXer" and choose "findeXer" options.

12. In "general appearance", choose custom color on "Hottrack (BG) color" and set it to 214, 240, 248.
"Hot item color" to 0, 100, 200.

13. Choose "items"

14. under "general appearance", set item size to 16, item color to 0, 100, 200.

15. Choose "separator"

16. Custom color> 192, 192, 192.

17. Download "Styler"

18. Install it.

19. in "Aero ultimate" folder, go to "Styler toolbars"

20. Copy "VistaPerfection X4 styler -normal" to styler/TB/skins/Styler's/

21. Open styler and choose that toolbar under "Toolbar" and mark "Hide menubar (explorer)"

22. Open up any folder

23. right click at the adressfield and unmark everything but not "Styler toolbar".

24. Download viStart

25. Install it. Go to the viStart folder and make a shortcut of viStart.exe and copy it to your Autostart folder.

26. Go inside "Aero ultimate" folder and choose "extras".

27. choose "Vista cursors" and choose the cursor of choice.

28. Right click one of the inf files and press install.

29. Go to the windows XP control panel > Mouse and choose the wista cursors.

30. Install Google desktop

31. Done!

OR you could just install LastXP which has vista style installed
(LastXP is a customized Windows XP)
